Thank you again for praying this Novena for Amelia.
Today, we consider the Joyful Mysteries (text, video), which I find the most relatable to everyday life. Amelia was announced via a pregnancy test rather than an angel, and born in a hospital rather than a manger, but still, events like the Visitation (visiting relatives) and Presentation at the Temple (i.e. baptism) are familiar.
Amelia hasn't been able to wander off and get lost in a while, however, so I tend to focus on the Finding in the Temple. I never thought I'd pray for something as mundane as having to keep track of her, but that's where we are, now.
Please pray for her, and her ability to get into mischief.
As always, we pray in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
Lord God, we thank You for all the ways You have blessed and assisted us in our lives. We humbly ask You today to bring healing to all who are sick.
There are many kinds of illnesses and many ways we might suffer from sickness. Some sicknesses cause great suffering of the mind and brain, and there is often little hope of a medical cure for such sicknesses. You can bring healing to all sick people who are suffering mental turmoil.
We ask You to heal all the sick, and we particularly ask You today to bring healing to all who are suffering from great mental pain!
Help us to remain steadfast in serving You, no matter what sufferings we might face. Help us to grow in our relationship with You even in the midst of trials.
And I especially ask in this novena to cure Amelia of her metachromatic leukodystrophy.
