Novena to Blessed Carlo Acutis Day 3

The Feast of the Guardian Angels was just the other day, and so I taught Amelia the Guardian Angel prayer—

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.

Amen.

Like his hero, St. Padre Pio, Blessed Carlo could see sometimes his guardian angel. He would ask his angel to pray with him, but even more interestingly, he’d have conversations with the angel, telling him about his day or what was on his mind. He wanted to have a relationship with the angel God assigned him.

So ask your guardian angel to join his or her prayer with Amelia’s as we continue our novena for the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis—

Opening Prayer

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we thank you for all the grace and favors with which you enriched the soul of the Blessed Carlo Acutis during his 15 years on this earth. Through the merits of this Angel of Youth, grant us the grace which we earnestly seek, that Amelia be cured of her metachromatic leukodystrophy.

Meditation

“Continuously ask your Guardian Angel for help. Your Guardian Angel has to become your best friend.”

Blessed Carlo Acutis, you who saw the company of Holy Angels while you were still in this world, give us the grace to live righteously, as our guardian angels desire. Amen.

Pray five Our Fathers, five Hail Marys, and five Glory Bes to give thanks to God for the grace granted to Carlo in the 15 years of his earthly life.

Closing Prayer

Almighty God, Father of Mercy, raise your servant Blessed Carlo Acutis to the glory of the altars, so that through him you will be even more glorified. Give us the honor of counting him among the saints, for he lived in Your Will in all things. And through his merit, give us the grace that we so ardently desire.
